BROSELEY -- With one out in the bottom of the sixth inning, Madison Lampe drew a bases-loaded walk to drive in the go-ahead run as the Twin Rivers Royals beat Cape Central 4-3 Monday. BROSELEY -- With one out in the bottom of the sixth inning, Madison Lampe drew a bases-loaded walk to drive in the go-ahead run as the Twin Rivers Royals beat Cape Central 4-3 Monday.

Trailing 3-0 at the start of the inning, Brittany Williams' RBI single put the Lady Royals (2-11) on the board. Kaitlin Deken followed with a two-run double to tie it as Twin Rivers rallied.

Abbey Hester and Madison Chavez added the Lady Royals only other hits of the game while Deken, Williams and Lampe each drew a walk.

Bella Galloway got the win in the circle, allowing three runs (one earned) on nine hits and two walks with five strikeouts.

East Carter 14, Fredericktown 2

Shelby Cyr, Brooklyn Loftis and Naomi Crowley each doubled and tripled as the Lady Redbirds run-ruled the Blackcats at home in five innings.

Cyr was 3 for 3 with four RBIs were Maddyson Holloway, Loftis and Crowley each had two hits for East Carter (8-7), which finished with 13.

Makenna Moore struck out six, walked one and only allowed two hits and two unearned runs to get the win in the circle.

Chaffee 7, Neelyville 1

Makenzi Davis doubled and drove in the lone run to pace the Tigers at the plate in a road loss to the Red Devils.

Lexi Nippe went the distance in the circle to suffer the loss for Neelyville (4-12). She surrendered three earned runs and recorded four strikeouts and one walk.

BASEBALL

Van Buren 7, Neelyville 3

Ethan Ponder went 2 for 3 with a double and a triple to lead the Bulldogs past the Tigers at home.

Steve Simmons was 3 for 4 with and RBI, Jacob Brown was 2 for 3 with an RBI and Trey Nicholson drove in a pair with a hit for Van Buren (8-7).

Nicholson struck out six and gave up two earned runs on four hits in a complete game win. He walked five while throwing 54 of his 97 pitches for strikes.

Nathan Akers and Carter Petty each drove in a run for Neelyville (13-4). Petty took the loss on the hill, giving up five runs (two earned) on six hits and a walk.

Bernie 19, Leopold 6

Bernie was up just a run after six innings, but exploded for 12 runs in the top of the seventh. Dalton Hobgood had a grand slam and a three-run homer in the inning. He also doubled earlier in the game and finished with eight RBIs.

Weston Zoll, Mason Mayberry and Weston Comstock all had three hits as the Mules (14-2) finished with 19 hits as a team.

Wyatt Barnett pitched in the win and Zoll threw three perfect innings in relief to earn the save.

Bell City 9, Bloomfield 0

Bell City scored all of its runs in the fifth and sixth innings. Dalton Phillips pitched in the loss and allowed eight hits and a walk with three strikeouts.

The Wildcats (2-13) had two hits, one each by Dustin Debeaux and Gavin Chasteen. Debeaux and Will Thorn also walked for four total baserunners.

VOLLEYBALL

Twin Rivers 2, Caruthersville 0

(25-14, 25-11)

Brooke Blume pounded 11 kills while adding eight digs and a block to lead the Royals past the Tigers at home.

Katelyn South finished with six kills, nine digs and three aces for Twin Rivers (17-3-2). Hannah Finley had seven kills, three aces and seven digs, and Hannah Phillips chipped in 19 assists, eight digs and an ace.

Bloomfield 2, Puxico 0

(25-6, 25-3)

Nicole Roper had six aces to go with 18 assists and five digs for the Lady Wildcats. Kaley Roper led the defense with 11 digs while Bailey Below led the offense with 11 kills and seven block kills. Lilly Warrick added seven kills.
