Registration for the 30th annual Women Aware conference ends Tuesday and this year looks to be a sell out, said Tracy Tarpley, registration chairperson for the event.
"What better way to celebrate our 30 year anniversary than by packing the Black River Coliseum with women of all ages coming together for a day of fun, relaxation, shopping, and of course laughter," said Tarpley, who is the officer manager for Productive Staffing.
If you haven't gotten your ticket yet, they are still available through EventBrite or in person at Productive Staffing, she said.
"Due to the popularity of this year's speaker, Ms. Vicki Lawrence, there will be a limited number of walk-ins allowed at the door the day of the conference so we highly encourage everyone to pre-register or buy in advance. Tickets are $50 and that includes a catered lunch by Karon Campbell of Tasteful Creations."
Tarpley explained, "I joined the Women Aware organization initially because my employer was a part of the organization but I've stayed because of the friendships and networking opportunities it's afforded me. I'm not originally from this area and this organization has given me the opportunity to gather with other women of our area and help provide an affordable conference that helps to empower and inspire and refresh women of all ages and backgrounds."
A total of 20 breakout sessions dealing with networking, personal development and professional growth also will be presented by local speakers, as well as those traveling from across the state and the country.
Sponsors include Productive Staff, Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, Sterling Bank and Insurance, Bank of Missouri, Kissinger & Kirkman Investment Centre LLC, Walmart; Hillcrest Animal Hospital, Larry Hillis Dodge, Southern Bank, First Midwest Bank, Briggs & Stratton and AirEvac.
