NEELYVILLE, Mo.-- Mildred Redus, 87, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, in the Mark Twain Caring Center.

She was born Aug. 10, 1930, at Old Burr, Ark., to the late Delno Mars and Gracie Billips Mars.

On July 18, 1951 at Pocahontas, Ark., she was married to Gene Malloy Redus.

She is survived by four children, Donna Smith and husband, Max, of Holladay, Tenn., Vesta Evans and husband, Frank, of Poplar Bluff, Arlen Redus and wife, Karen, of Fort Collins, Colo., and Eldon Redus and wife, Lois, of Pocahontas; six sisters, Ethel Vandergriff, Elsie Hayes, Mary Ella Hart, Audra Faye McKuin, Delta Hausman and Dorothy Hausman; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, Esther Sparlin and three brothers, Earl Mars, Arrie Mars and William Lee Mars.

Mrs. Redus was a member of the Bluff City Family Worship Center of Poplar Bluff. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed gardening, sewing and canning. She also enjoyed her church.

Visitation for Mrs. Redus will start at 11 a.m. Monday at the Bluff City Apostolic Worship Center in Poplar Bluff. Funeral services will start at 1 p.m. in the church with the Rev. Jerry Williams and the Rev. Ted Elledge officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery at Warm Springs, Ark.

Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel of Neelyville is in charge of arrangements.
