Local musician, Maggie Maryann Thorn-Lowery, recently released her third country music album titled, The Other Side. On this 12 track album, 11 songs were written by Thorn-Lowery along with some help from her lead guitarist and father, Tony Thorn and her husband, Logan Lowery.

Although, she is originally from Bloomfield, Mo. and graduated from Bloomfield High in 2012, She currently resides just a few miles outside of the Puxico city limits.

" I love living in Puxico," stated Thorn - Lowery. "All of the people I have met here have welcomed me with open arms."

Maggie's first album came out in the spring of 2013, when she was 18 years old. The first album titled, "Gravel Road," was a 6 track EP of songs she had started writing when she was 15 years old. Her second album titled, "Get Out Of My Way", came out in the spring of 2015 when she was almost 21 and was attending college in Nashville at Belmont University.

The new album is bigger than the previous two and also was recorded at a new studio called "Blue Creek Production" in Patton, Mo. Thorn is a 100 percent independent artist who has continued to grow with each album, artistically and financially.

"I am inspired all the time by the most simple and amazing things. I love to learn and I love to create," stated Thorn- Lowery. "I have a multitude of plans for the future which include furthering my music career and working hard to be able to play music with my dad as long as God has intended. My husband and I also want to start a family and build a forever home here in puxico. I am currently finishing an online degree in business and marketing which I plan to use to help run our production and management company. I have so many dreams of being able to travel and play music all over the world but most importantly I pray and I trust that God will lead me on the path he has intended for me. My job is to work hard and give all the Glory to him."

In the next few weeks she has several events, interviews and concerts planned to promote the new album, however the small town country girl still plans on clearing her schedule so she can be on the Midway in Puxico celebrating Homecoming in August.
