The Neelyville R-IV School Board received two bids for LP gas service during its regular meeting Thursday night, unanimously accepting the low bid from Reed Oil Company of Doniphan.
Reed submitted a lower bid of $1.029, while MFA submitted a bid of $1.049.
The board also unanimously adopted the free and reduced lunch eligibility criteria for the following school year as well as the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) responsibility list.
Student accident insurance was approved, being supplied by K&K Insurance for students at the school who have no insurance. Superintendent Brad Hagood said last year, one student took advantage of the offer. Hagood added while it was only one student, it was one more student who was able to have insurance.
During executive session, the resignation of Whitney Edwards as an early childhood paraprofessional was accepted.
The annual tax levy hearing was set for 6:45 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17 at the board office in Neelyville. The next regular meeting will follow at 7 p.m.
