DONIPHAN, Mo. -- Pamela Sue Powers, 54-year-old resident of Grandin, Mo. departed this life Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at her residence. Mrs. Powers was born Nov. 9, 1962 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Delbert and Lorine Upchurch Hanks.
Mrs. Powers enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and crocheting. She was of the Christian faith.
On March 15, 1980, in Grandin, Mo. she was married to Joseph Powers who preceded her in death March 3, 2011. Also preceding her in death was her father, Delbert Hanks, April 30, 2015.
Surviving are two daughters, Kayla Maxwell and her husband William and Rachel Carter and her husband Bobby, all of Grandin; one son, Joey Powers, Jr. of Grandin; her mother, Lorine Hanks of Grandin; sisters Karen Pennington and her husband Kevin and Debbie Welsh and her husband Jeff, all of Poplar Bluff; Brenda Moore and her husband Jeremy of Crocker, Mo.; Kimberly Richmond and her husband Dan of Honolulu, Hawaii; one brother Darrell Hanks and his wife Susan of Grandin; Grandchildren, Ilia Brown, Alec Kearbey, Riley Maxwell, Gabriel Maxwell, Audrey Maxwell, Courtney Carter, Madison Carter, Emma Carter and Alex Carter; Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2017 in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel.
