Applications are currently being accepted for Three Rivers College's 25th Annual Children's Theatre Summer Drama Camp. Running Aug. 7-11, this camp is open to children entering grades 2nd through 8th grades.

Camp instructors, Subrina Berger and JoNell Seifert will lead the camp each day, from 9 a.m. until noon Monday through Thursday. A final performance will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11, in the Tinnin Center at Three Rivers College. The performance is free and open to family, friends and community.

Camp participants will spend each day in acting exercises, creative dramatics, dance, stage makeup, dance, storytelling, readers theatre, one act play rehearsal, improvisation exercises, and musical theatre.

Campers will arrive at 9 a.m. each day and run through several activities to prepare them for the final performance. They will rehearse in large and small groups for one act and readers theatre production as well as learn a song and dance routine to wow the audience. Many campers are returning for their fourth or fifth camp season, so each year the performances are stronger and reflect growing talent among the campers.

Cost for the camp is $65 and includes a camp T-Shirt, scripts, camp notebook, daily snack and drink, loads of fun, and a surprise or two. Contact Tim Thompson at 573-840-9648 (tthompson@trcc.edu) if interested. Registration will continue until July 18 at the Tinnin Center or through email registration up to a maximum camp roster of 45 participants.
