ELLSINORE, Mo. -- Susan Marie Kearbey, 60, of Ellsinore, departed this life Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at her residence in Ellsinore with her family by her side. She was born Oct. 25, 1956 in Jonesboro, Ark. She was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Frances Boxx.
On July 10, 1994, she was united in marriage to Danny Ray Kearbey in Carter County Missouri.
Susan was a member of the Eastern Star, the Eagles and Eagle Riders. She enjoyed reading books and computer games. She was of the Baptist faith. She was an outgoing person who loved meeting new people and was always willing to help others.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Ray Kearbey of Ellsinore; one son, Johnnie Farris Jr. and wife, Melanie, of Jonesboro, Ark; two brothers: Kevin Boxx of Fl., and Michael Boxx of Calif.; five grandchildren: Johnnie Farris III, Olivia Farris, Landon Farris, Lane Farris and Alanah Farris; and many relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
Susan was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Daniel Farris, April 6, 2015; a daughter, Elizabeth Marie Farris, Jan. 18, 2016; a step-son, Kevin Daniel Kearbey in February of 1995 and a brother Keith Boxx who passed in 1978.
A visitation will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, July 6, 2017, at the McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellsinore with the Funeral Service being held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 7, 2017 in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Harold Condray will officiate. Burial will be in Kearbey Chapel Cemetery in Butler County.
