Ralph Alfred Foust, Jr. "Sonny", a Poplar Bluff business owner passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center at the age 78.
Ralph Jr. was born April 19, 1939 in Poplar Bluff to the late Ralph A. Sr. and Opal Foust.
With his wife Patricia he was owner of Foust Dairyette and Foust Cow Shed. He was an avid duck hunter and fisherman. Ralph Jr. enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, working in the garden, flower gardening and working crossword puzzles.
Ralph Jr. was an inactive deacon of Second Baptist Church and served as a substitute Sunday School teacher.
He married Patricia Mabry of Naylor on Feb. 25, 1968. They had two daughters: Alicia Ann (Robert) Pierce of Branson, Mo., and Tara Lea (Jeffrey) Kearbey of Lakeland, Tn.; four grandchildren: Emilee Dawn Pierce, Brittann Robert Pierce, Taylor Marie Kearbey and Matthew Robert Kearbey; two sisters, Daisy McGonigal of Piedmont and Diane (Bob) Christian of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Don (Barbara) Foust of Poplar Bluff; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
In addition to his parents, Ralph Jr. was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Otis McGonigal and a nephew, Larry Payton.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral chapel with Rev. Gene Lancaster officiating and Rev. Luther Abbott assisting. Interment will be in the Woodlawn section of the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
