Regina Griffin of Doniphan, Mo., recently was selected to lead the Three Rivers Endowment Trust.

The TRC alumna and Arkansas State University graduate was chosen as the new chairman during June's annual meeting. The term runs July 1 through June 2018.

"The Endowment Trust continues to grow its support for Three Rivers College and I'm honored to lead the group," Griffin said.

Michelle Reynolds, executive director of the Endowment Trust and director of development for TRC, said she is excited about the organization's new leadership.

"She is not only a Three Rivers alumni, she also has been a long-standing member of our organization," Reynolds said.

Griffin is an active member of her community, serving as the Ripley County Fair Board's treasurer. She is a member of the Doniphan Future Farmers of America Alumni Association and was chosen as "Woman of the Year" by her sorority Beta Sigma Phi.

"As we wrap up our building projects, it's an exciting time to pursue other initiatives that help show support for the college and its students," Griffin said.

She and her husband, Sam, own and operate Bob Griffin Insurance Agency in Doniphan and attend the First Church of God. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, Spencer and Keegan, at the family's cabin on Current River.

Other upcoming officers for the endowment trust include secretary Keith Holloway of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and treasurer Mark Stidham of Dexter, Mo.

Also at the June meeting, terms were renewed for board members Bill Swafford and Dr. Ken McVey, both of Poplar Bluff, Terry McVey of Kennett, Mo., and Brad Smith of Doniphan.

The Three Rivers Endowment Trust was formed in 2010 as a qualifying not-for-profit organization designated to receive and manage gifts on behalf of the college. Griffin is preceded as chairman by pharmacist, Dr. Marty Michel.

In addition to accepting annual gifts, pledges and awarding annual scholarships, the Three Rivers Endowment Trust also participates in various other events throughout the year, including the annual trivia night, "Day at the Ballpark," golf tournament and benefit run.
