CAMPBELL, Mo. ~~ Dale Edwards, 74 of Malden, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017 at the Poplar Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Mr. Edwards, son of Tribble Ellsworth Edwards and Janie Lucille Charleston Edwards, was born on May 9, 1943 in Bakersfield, Calif.
Dale Edwards was a retired mechanic and was the owner of Kountry Korner convenience store in Malden. He was a member of the Teamsters local 325 in Rockford, Ill. Dale served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
On July 25, 1964 in Kennett, Mo., he was united in marriage to Janetta Joyce Presson. She preceded him in death July 8, 2001.
His survivors include, son, Jason Edwards of Davis Junction, Ill.; two daughters, Laura "Bunny" Sullivan and husband, Kevin and Shellee Oellig and husband, Todd, all of Davis Junction, Ill.; eight grandchildren; Rachel, Megan, Abigail, Justin, Brooke, Ashley, Kate and Elle; two great-grandchildren: Lucas and Kaisa; two sisters; Sue Davis and Eva McNiece; five brothers: Gary "Doc" Edwards, Jimmy Edwards, Ben Edwards, Mickey Edwards and Jack Edwards.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and brother: Connie Edwards.
Visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell. A memorial reception will be held at the American Legion Post 109 in Campbell from 5 - 7 p.m., Thursday, June 29, 2017.
A memorial service will be at a late date at the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Rockford, Ill.
