The annual Fisk Community Library Rummage Sale will be Thursday-Saturday, July 13-15, in the air conditioned Fisk Community Center, 508 Garfield St., Fisk.
The sale will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, July 13-14, and 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 15. There will be donations added each day. The sale will end with a $1 bag sale from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday.
There are always a wide variety of items for sale, including lots of books. Everything is clean, organized and priced to sell fast. All profits are used to support the continued operation of the library.
The library continues through the generous volunteering of librarians Bea Ward and Shirley Stanford and is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 1-4 p.m. In addition to regular print, there are mystery, Christian and romance best sellers in large print. The children's section includes thousands of fiction and nonfiction for the public to check out and all are for free.
The library board appreciates the charitable donations that has kept this library going since 1991. If you would like to donate items for the sale or books to add to circulation you may deliver them to the library during regular hours of operation or deliver to the community center Monday, July 10, through Wednesday, July 12.
Volunteers and members of the library board wish to honor the memory of Mary Ellen Vernon, who was one of the original organizers and librarian who died May 26.
