QULIN, Mo. - Kenneth "KV" Vancil, age 70, of Qulin, Mo., died Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Williamsville, Mo. Mr. Vancil was born August 12, 1946 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. son of the late Homer L. and Clara Mae (Pierce) Vancil. Kenneth graduated from Qulin High School in 1964. He farmed until retiring in 1999. After retiring he attended school in Florida and became a Licensed Massage Therapist. Kenneth was a member of the Lone Prairie Missionary Baptist Church for several years where he served as a Deacon. He presently was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church at Qulin. He also had served on the Twin Rivers School Board, Inter River Drainage District Board and MFA Local and MFA State Boards. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, horses, gardening and spending time at his hill farm and visiting with family and friends. On April 3, 1966 he married Marilyn Sentell at Lone Prairie Missionary Baptist Church. She survives. Also surviving are two sons: Boyd Vancil and wife Stacie of Poplar Bluff and Chris Vancil and wife Missey of Wildwood, Mo.: one brother: Carl Allen Vancil of Qulin, Mo.; four grandchildren: Devin, Alex, Justin and Benjamin. He was also preceded in death by a sister: Elaine Engelhardt. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at White-Sanders Funeral Home, Qulin. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 16, 2017 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Qulin Cemetery at Qulin, Missouri.
