Leona Imogene McPike, 91, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. McPike, the daughter of the late Joseph Rogous and Etta May Bingham Fears, was born March 14, 1926 in Ellington. She was a member of the Bluff City Apostolic Worship Center, where she served as Ladies Auxiliary Leader. For many years Mrs. McPike worked for the Florsheim Shoe Factory. She enjoyed spending time with her family, being active in her church and her T.O.P.S. group.
She married Jacob McPike, Nov. 23, 1949, in St. Louis. He preceded her in death, Feb. 2, 1989.
Survivors include her son, Dwain McPike of Poplar Bluff and a step-son, James McConnell of Godley, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 22 grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
A brother and five sisters preceded Mrs. McPike in death.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bluff City Apostolic Worship Center. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bluff City Apostolic Worship Center with the Rev. Ted Elledge officiating and the Rev. Jerry Williams assisting. Burial will follow at Kinsey Cemetery in Butler County.
