MALDEN -- Four pitchers combined on a no-hitter and recorded 15 strikeouts as second-seeded Twin Rivers rolled past No. 7 Puxico 7-0 in a MSHSAA Class 3 District 2 quarterfinal Saturday. Jack LeGrand started, struck out four and walked one in two innings to get the win. The senior also went 3 for 4 at the dish with two doubles and two RBIs. David Deken followed suit on the mound with the same line while Zac Hardin pitched two perfect innings with five strikeouts...

Jack LeGrand started, struck out four and walked one in two innings to get the win. The senior also went 3 for 4 at the dish with two doubles and two RBIs. David Deken followed suit on the mound with the same line while Zac Hardin pitched two perfect innings with five strikeouts.

Baylen Teague closed things out with two strikeouts and opened the scoring by reaching on an error in the first to score Hardin, who singled.

The Indians (0-13) reached base just twice on a pair of walks. Karsen Barnfield took the loss, allowing seven runs (one earned) on six hits. He had five strikeouts and walked one. Tommy Parsley gave up a hit in one scoreless inning of work.
