DEXTER, Mo. -- Doyle Haywood, 70, of Wappapello, son of the late Bernard "Petie" Haywood and Floya Haywood born March 11, 1947 in Piggott, Ark. and passed away Friday, May 5, 2017 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Haywood retired from Emerson Electric Company in Kennett, Mo. and previously worked at Riggs Hardware in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He was a St. Louis Cardinals fan, enjoyed working outdoors, and was a resident of Wappapello, Mo. previously of Kennett.
He was united in marriage to Doris Lavada Crawford Aug. 1, 1978 in Dyersburg, Tenn. Mrs. Haywood preceded him in death, April 8, 2014.
Survivors include three sons: Allen Haywood (Melanie) and Chris Haywood (Shannon), both of Rector, Ark., Billy Parker (Holly) of Paragould, Ark.; two daughters, Tammy Jarrett and fiancé Ronnie Riddle and Mindy Danley (Chris) both of Kennett; step-mother, Norma Haywood of Pollard, Ark.; one brother, Stanley Haywood (Linda) of Gosnell, Ark.; one sister, Jeri Haske (Kenny) of Eagle River, Alaska; also 13 grandchildren: Eric Jarrett and wife Hannah, Heather Esters, Hannah Burns and husband Kalen, Tori Parker, Colby Noel, Tiffany Jarrett, Hunter Wiley, Michael Jarrett, Will Jarrett, Kaetlyn Danley, Callen Danley, Landon Haywood, Colton Haywood and Denver Book; by three great-grandchildren: Bentley Estes, Oliver Jarrett, and Owen Jarrett.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. 1 p.m. at the Abiding Peace Church in Kennett. Memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. at the Abiding Peace Church in Kennett with Rev. Duke Hansen officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
