First Missouri State Bank is proud to announce the groundbreaking for its new state of the art facility, scheduled for completion in 2018.
"As the community grows, so does our customer base," said president and CEO Paul Tucker. "In order to best serve our customers, Poplar Bluff, and the surrounding communities, a new facility is necessary. We've simply outgrown our current location."
The ceremony set into motion construction of a 17,000-square foot, two-story financial center. The design of the new facility is a collaborative effort provided by Dille & Traxel Architecture Firm of Poplar Bluff and Hastings Architecture Associates, LLC of Nashville. The new bank will be conveniently located at the intersection of Highway 67 North and W Highway.
"On behalf of our entire board of directors and bank employees, I sincerely thank all of our many loyal customers who have made it possible for us to be a part of this thriving community," Tucker said.
Dexter-based Brown Construction will serve as the projects general contractor.
"You'll see the same familiar faces at our new location, but the new facility will allow us to offer additional services that will better serve our existing customer base, as well as all future customers," Tucker said.
First Missouri State Bank was established in 1912 as State Bank of Fisk. In October 1986, the bank's name was changed to First Missouri State Bank and its main office was transferred to 1902 Sunset Drive in Poplar Bluff, where it has remained for the past 31 years.
