To the Editor,

I would like to issue a heart-felt thank you to those who volunteered their time for the Buff up the Bluff project of 2017.

The city-wide clean up filled 20 dumpsters with unwanted items from Poplar Bluff residents. Volunteers also completed 180 pickups from the homes of elderly citizens.

Groups assisting with the event include Crossroads ministry, RSVP, Republic Services, city street department, Ozark Foothills Recycling Center and community service workers. The Duckett family provided lunch to all veterans doing elderly pickup. Volunteer headquarters was held at First Presbyterian Church. Ms. Pat Hoppes volunteered at the headquarters.
