To the Editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for the many people in the Poplar Bluff area and beyond, who have reached out to me in support of my situation with the VA. I have been amazed at the large number of citizens who have taken time to call, email, text message, sent letters and cards, posted comments on their Facebook pages and contacted Congressmen. Your efforts and words of encouragement are appreciated!
Countless individuals across the United States, many of whom I've never met, have taken time to articulate their fears about what is going on at the Poplar Bluff VA Medical Center. Every correspondence received, I've read with interest. The stories from the Veterans have been especially poignant. I appreciate the Veteran who referred to me as a "Patriot". Lots of you have urged me to keep fighting this battle for the Veterans, the same fight other whistleblowers have waged war at many other VA medical facilities across the country. God willing, I will keep trying to help.
I have responded to every communication I've received. Numerous folks have tried to contact me through the hospital. Unfortunately, telephone calls for me are no longer transferred because of the screening process administration has recently instituted. If you left a message with the Poplar Bluff VA Medical Center for me to call you, I did not get your request. Hence, for those of you who would like to share your thoughts, you could use this email address: Dalekleinmd@netscape.net.
Thank you for your tremendous patronage. I continue to advocate for the Veterans so they receive better healthcare for their chronic pain conditions; the high-quality care these heroes absolutely deserve.
