Three Rivers sophomores Camron Reedus and Ge'Naisha Robinson were recently named NJCAA All-Americans.

"It was probably the happiest day I've had in a long time," Reedus said. "I never thought I'd be named All-American. I was just happy."

Robinson added that she was shocked when she heard the news.

"When I saw it my mouth dropped," she said.

Reedus was selected to the third team and Robinson to the second team.

Reedus is the 28th Raider to be named All-American, and third in three years after Gabe Grant in 2016, and Justas Furmanavicius and Torry Butler in 2015.

"He made good progress around here and he is a complete player, we'll certainly miss him around here next year," Three Rivers coach Gene Bess said of Reedus.

Reedus, who signed in September with the University of Arkansas at Little Rock led the Raiders with 19.6 points per game as a sophomore and started all but one game. He was the team's primary 3-point shooter and took nearly nine attempts a game and made 40 percent of them.

As a sophomore his game evolved and he improved at driving to the basket and drawing fouls.

"I think he got really good at taking the ball to the basket," Bess said. "He hit big 3s for us all the time he was here."

He averaged six free throws as a sophomore, up from 4.4 as a freshman, and made 78 percent.

Reedus also led the Raiders in minutes per game (31), steals (1.7), was second in assists (2.3) and fifth in rebounds (3.5).

"He's very intelligent. Had very good basketball IQ and has a good feel for the game," Bess said. "He showed good poise and you could just tell in practice and otherwise that he had good focus and he always seemed to have a good idea of what he was getting out of the game."

With 1,180 career points, he finished tied for ninth with Sunday Adebayo (1994-95) in Three Rivers all-time scoring. His 19.6 scoring average as a sophomore is 11th best in Three Rivers history.

In the Region XVI championship against Moberly Area, Reedus fueled the Raiders with 28 points on 10 for 18 shooting, including 6 for 11 on 3-pointers and played 36 minutes as the Raiders pulled away in the second half to win 85-58 and secure their 23rd region championship.

Robinson, who has signed with Young Harris College in Georgia, is the 11th Lady Raider to make the All-American team.

"You're going to be put in that category with some of the great ones," Three Rivers coach Jeff Walk told Robinson after the announcement. "Well deserving. It is just awesome for her. She was the best player in the region and she deserves everything she is getting."

She was a focal point of the Three Rivers offense and defense as a sophomore, leading the press and often the fast break after a turnover.

She was the only Lady Raider to score in double figures and averaged 16.4 points a game, tied for 10th all time at Three Rivers. Her 15.2 career scoring average is 8th all time among Lady Raiders.

Her 152 career steals is third all time behind Latasha Thompson, who had 211 from 1997-99, and Macy Wright, who had 207 from 2012-15.

Robinson had 84 steals as a sophomore to put her third all time in single season steals, again behind Thompson (105) and Wright (102).

"I just go play," said Robinson, adding that she doesn't try to put up number in any one category.

Robinson led the Lady Raiders in steals per game (2.8) was second in minutes (24.6) fifth in rebounds (4.4) and fifth in assists (1.2).
