Caroline Smith Spencer and Jay Kelly Robbins, both of Little Rock, Ark., were married Saturday, March 25, 2017, at The Henderson Beach Resort and Spa in Destin, Fla. The Honorable John Robbins, grandfather of the bridegroom, officiated. The bride is the daughter of Gale and Scott Spencer of Poplar Bluff, and the granddaughter of Donna Lou and Ed Spencer of Mt. Vernon, Mo., and Glenda and Marshall Gazette of Little Rock, Ark.
The bridegroom is the son of Vickie and Kelly Robbins of Hot Springs, Ark., and the grandson of Diane and John Robbins of Hot Springs, Ark., and Jane Harbour Bledsoe and the late Wesley Harbour of Hot Springs, Ark.
The bride is a graduate of the University of Arkansas - Fayetteville, with a bachelor's degree in political science. She is the Development Director of Our House.
The bridegroom graduated from the University of Arkansas - Fayetteville with a bachelor's degree in public relations. He is vice-president of Government Relations, Inveritas.
Whitney Spencer Arthur was the matron of honor. Members of the bride's wedding party were: Amy Callaway Carpenter, Rachel Kathryn Culp, Emily Faye Halbert, Martha Hali Harbuck, Quaker Elizabeth Hefner, Diana Marie Jarek, Courtney Frances Kleine, Erin Warden Lewis, Leah Wingerter Lile, Rebecca Lynn Piland, Shara Marie Robbins, and Quincy Plafcan Scott.
J. Kelly Robbins was the best man. Eric Michael Arthur, John Benjamin Julius Barnett, Chase Aaron Batson, Stephen Charles Chandler, John Julius Gunther, Matthew Scott Lamb, David Austin Page, and Edward Turner Womble completed the bridegroom's wedding party.
Flowers were white peonies, white hydrangeas and white garden roses.
Guests enjoyed champagne and hor d'oeurves after the candlelight ceremony follow by a dinner/dance reception in the Crystal Ballroom where guests were entertained by Norris Dates and the Power Surge Band.
The couple will live in Little Rock and will take their honeymoon in August.
