Dog Park is

a stupid idea

Instead of building a stupid dog park for the rich why can't they walk their dogs out at McLane Park or in the park and instead of building a stupid dog park for dogs to be walked like princesses and kings and whatever according to the family members. Why can't they build shelters for children that are standing at bus stops away from the cold wind? I think the children are more important than stupid dogs! Thank you. Bye.

Taking people's

health care is sick

You know I've been watching the TV and I've been reading the paper. What kind of a sick mentality would take people's health care away from them? I may never vote Republican again if they do that! I don't care if it's for mayor or dogcatcher or county commissioner.

Get out in the real world see what kind of money your insurance companies want for coverage. You're looking at, maybe, somebody that is 60 years old you're going to pay $6,000 a year for a $5,000 deductible that's got a $5,000 co-pay. That's the same as no insurance when you live in this central part of the country with wages being what they are.

I suggest that the rich Republican lawmakers do not have a job-based insurance coverage that they have to reach into their hip pocket. I also suggest that no lawmaker be paid more than the average income of the area that he represents. If you represent an area that's got an average income of $15,000 -- that would be your income. That way their income would be performance-based and if they would do stuff to improve the economy of the people they represent they, too, would reap rewards instead of getting a paycheck under the table from lobbyists.

Doniphan is Ripley

County's landfill

I tell you what I don't understand. Poplar Bluff has got a lot of crap along the highway -- trash and stuff like that, but Doniphan looks like a landfill of Ripley County. And people ride down here at 6 o'clock without any headlights on or one headlight. Been hitting so many deer they only have one headlight and I would get stopped if I did that. I did get stopped for dim lights so there you go.
