Senator Libla

Shame on Senator Doug Libla for refusing to donate any money to TRCC sports complex unless they replaced the Gene Bess name with his now the Libla sports complex. Come on the Bess name is the true legacy 1,000 plus wins as head coach. Shows his true colors! Donation was around 10 percent.

(EDITORS' NOTE: Contrary to popular belief, the Bess Activity Center is not named after Gene Bess. It is named after Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Bess, who donated the money toward its construction.)

Please print this immediately! The families on B Hwy in Ripley Co. located between Hwy 160 and Naylor need to stay ALERT. On March 24th, I had gone to sleep in our family room just to be awakened to the house alarms blaring and the door to that room swinging open. There was no jiggle of the doorknob nor the storm door or I would have heard it. The thing that concerns my family and me, as well as the deputies, who responded that night, is that several of our vehicles were in the drive and around our home so the intruder must have known we were home or some of us anyway. What was the intruder up to?

Then yesterday, April 6, 2016, at another residence on B Hwy, (the home sets down a long drive) a young man heard a knock at the front door. There was no car in the drive so he looked out the window and there stood a woman holding a bouquet of flowers. He opened the door and she said she needed a drink of water. He shut the door, got her a bottle of water, and she walked back down the drive. After she was out of sight, he heard a vehicle spin out at the bottom of the drive.
