City dispatchers appreciate recognition
To the Editor:
The week of April 10 -- 16, 2016, had been set by Congress as National Public Safety Telecommunications Week to honor those emergency dispatchers that serve the public needs. I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude to the businesses that donated items to be used to recognize those that work as Police and Fire Dispatchers for the City of Poplar Bluff. Thanks to these wonderful businesses we were able to celebrate the week with a variety of refreshments and contest prizes. Without their help, this would not have been possible.
Than you to . . . Lemonade House Grill, Pizza Hut, Subway, Garner's Car Wash, Marble Slab, McDonald's, Butler County EMS, Burger King, Buffalo Wild Wings, The Wine Rack, Dairy Queen, Fazoli's, Rob's Flowers and Dr. Jared Beaird DDS.
We would also like to express our sincere Thanks to the Administrative staff of the Poplar Bluff Police Department, Chief Whiteley, Retiring Deputy Chief Rolland, Deputy Chief Trout, Capt. Sutton, Capt. Keirsey, and Sgt. Darron Moore for the one-year subscription to the Daily American Republic they so kindly purchased for us.
