I would like to applaud a neighbor of ours, Mr. Wolpers, for allowing the kids in our neighborhood to fish in his pond. Kids now days are usually yelled at and chased off older peoples' property causing disrespect and animosity. Mr. Wolpers took the time to talk to the kids and welcomed them back. Thank you Mr. Wolpers for letting kids be kids!

I had a good laugh out of your paper on April 1st ( April Fool's Day), page 0. If only it were true that there is no news to report, there wouldn't be any bad news for a change. I'm keeping this page, it's so funny.

Hello, my name is John. I'd like to compliment Mike Jensen, publisher of the Sikeston Standard Democrat, on his editorial in the DAR, Thursday, April 2nd about the war on police and civilized society. I think Mr. Jensen is one of the great minds around and he writes some wonderful and informative editorials and I'd just like to compliment him and I'd like to keep on seeing more of those in the DAR.
