Something's gotta be done
Has anybody read the police reports and what the judges fine the people here in Poplar Bluff? Sometimes there is one and a half to two pages of nothing but fines from the city courts, thousands and thousands of dollars, more than any poor people can afford, more than a lot of rich people can afford. I bet you 40 percent of Butler County is on supervised probation with a private probation service, I thought slavery went out years ago. If this is not slavery, nothing is. I had read to me this agreement and fully understand the conditions of this community service work. I also understand that I may refuse to enter this agreement. I understand that a violation of this agreement could result in my probation being revoked and sentences are executed and I could be held in contempt. I freely know and except this. Then it goes on to say you do 40-50 hours of work, 100 hours or whatever, and you don't have no insurance on you whatsoever. If you get hurt they are not liable for it. Any loss of life or anything else you're not liable. If that's not slavery nothing is. If you don't do it to the best of your ability, and the way they want it, you'll be locked up. Read the paper people. This is a slave community. Something's gotta be done. You know, I don't mind doing a little community service, but this here making people do it rather than work somewhere else, and all this then pay fines, and you gotta pay $125 up front to get it started. Then you have to pay this private probation which is owned by an ex-probation officer that's retired and stuff. Something's gotta be done. This town ain't nothing but a bunch of hypocritical thieves, thieves. And it's not the one's that's going before the judge that I'm talking about. Thank you.
