PIEDMONT, MO. -- Geneva I. Metcalf, nee Brunk, 79, of Freeburg, Ill., born Oct. 14, 1933, in Ellington, Mo., died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.
Mrs. Metcalf was a member of First Baptist Church, New Athens, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Mauda, nee Fears, Brunk.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Raymond L. Metcalf, whom she married on Feb. 6, 1954; one son, Alvin Metcalf and wife, Nancy, of New Athens, Ill.; two grandchildren, Amy Abert and husband, Keith, and Jamie Croak and husband, Ed; three great-grandchildren, Mitchell and Stella Abert, and Ryan Croak; three brothers, Jim Brunk and wife, Pat, of Ellington, Mo., Melvin Brunk and wife, Leona, of Redford, Mo., and Marvin Brunk of Ellington; and two sisters, Delores Miles of Annapolis, Mo., and Bonnie Pratt and husband, Bill, of Farmington, Mo.
Visitation will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, Mo. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont. Burial will be in the Redford Cemetery, Redford, Mo.
