NEELYVILLE, Mo. -- Paul Douglas Bridgewater, 70, of Harviell, Mo., passed away Jan. 4, 2013, at his residence. He was born Dec. 6, 1942, in Rockford, Ill. He had lived in Butler County most of his life and was a mechanic. He attended Neelyville, Naylor and Arkansas State schools.

Mr. Bridgewater was a 32nd degree mason. He was a member of Lodge #209 and Three Rivers Shrine Club in Poplar Bluff and the Moolah Shriners and Scottish Rite in St. Louis.

On April 4, 1964, he married Carol Sue Campbell in St. Louis. She survives. Other survivors are one daughter, Diana Lynn Bridgewater, and one granddaughter, Amanda Sue Bridgewater of Harviell. One sister, lavonda Joyce Derganc, preceded him in death.

Burial will be in the Kinsey Cemetery at a later date. Visitation only will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel of Neelyville. The family requests memorials be made to Haven House Center for Battered Women and Children, in care of Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel, 16984 Highway 67S, Neelyville, MO.
