DONIPHAN, MO. -- C.R. Ezell's friends and neighbors will gather at 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, at Patsy's Hitch-N-Rail in Doniphan, Mo., to raise money to help with his medical bills and equipment, as well as travel expenses.
Ezell lost his right leg and suffered other injuries in a motorcycle accident Aug. 4 in northern Ripley County, Mo., and has been hospitalized since then. Ezell was in St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo., before being transferred to St. John's Mercy Medical Center in the St. Louis area. He was successfully taken off the ventilator three weeks ago.
His friends and neighbors in Ripley County, are coming to his aid. Ezell lives in the Shiloh community near the Ripley and Carter county line. Friends who would like to send a get well card to him may mail them to him at Route 2, Box 4022, Doniphan, Mo. 63935.
Activities will include a live band, as well a karaoke, pool tournament, dart tournament, auction, 50/50 drawing, door prizes and a potluck dinner. Everyone is to bring a dish and there will be a donation box on the table. Raffle tickets for a one-hour photo session with a 10 x 13 photo by Pamela Davis Photography are currently being sold.
