I read in the April 11th DAR the story about financial concerns at Three Rivers College. Here is my take on ways to fix that. Look at salaries of the administrative people. I'm sure they make a nice salary. Look at the athletic program at Three Rivers College. How many community colleges do you know of that have a dorm? How many community colleges do you know of that in addition to serving the community, which is why they are called a community college, they recruit basketball players from not only outside the service area of the community college, but outside of the United States. To bring in these players and bring in these so-called students supposedly costs money. As a taxpayer I'm tired of paying for non-American, non-service area students to stay in a dorm and attend a junior college. This is ridiculous!
