PIEDMONT, Mo. -- Rallie M. Sharp, 83, a lifelong resident of Piedmont, Mo., died Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Clark's Mountain Nursing Center, Piedmont, Mo. She was born May 9, 1928, to Roy Lee Darden and Tressie (Henson) Darden, in Piedmont. She was of the Baptist faith and was baptized in her teen years. PIEDMONT, Mo. -- Rallie M. Sharp, 83, a lifelong resident of Piedmont, Mo., died Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Clark's Mountain Nursing Center, Piedmont, Mo.

She was born May 9, 1928, to Roy Lee Darden and Tressie (Henson) Darden, in Piedmont. She was of the Baptist faith and was baptized in her teen years. She was a high school graduate and had one year of college. Right out of high school she worked at the shirt factory in Piedmont.

She was married to Thomas "Junior" Street in 1950. She was later married to Edwin Elmer Sharp, on Dec. 6, 1986. She worked at Clark's Mountain Nursing Center and then went to Home Health of Greenville, Mo.

Mrs. Sharp loved to cook; her best dish was chicken and dumplings and cinnamon rolls. She also enjoyed quilting and made each of her five children a quilt. The family would go on picnics and hike Elephant Rock. Her greatest joy was when her family and friends were around her. She always was ready and willing to help anyone. She enjoyed window shopping, all you had to do was say "GO," and she was ready. She always had a smile for everyone. She loved and cherished her family as they did her.

Mrs. Sharp was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elmer; one son, Larry Street; two brothers, Jim and Elbert Darden; one grandchild, Jennifer Street.

Survivors include two sons, Gary (Deniese) Street of Lauderdale, Miss., and Donald (Edna) Street of San Antonio, Texas; two stepsons, Edwin (Nancy) Sharp of Stonewall, Miss., and Frank (Carolyn) Sharp of Lauderdale, Miss.; two daughters, Vicki Tutterrow of Piedmont and Pam (Jeff) White of Farmington, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Charity Huff, Seth Street, Erica Street, David Tutterrow, Robert Tutterrow, Tracy White, Samantha White, Tiffaney House, and Michael Street; eight great-grandchildren, Macy Huff, Erin Huff, Nolan Huff, Veronica Tutterrow, Zander Street, Liana Grace Tutterow, and Gabriel Street; three step-grandchildren, Clarence Sharp, Rhonda Schultz and Jade Sharp; seven step-great-grandchildren, Joshua Schultz, Jacob Schultz, Jared Schulty, Cierra Street, Nicholas House, Breanna Sharp, and Ainsley Sharp.

Visitation will be at 5 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Both will be held at Ruegg Funeral Home Chapel, Piedmont. Pastor Jack Ruble will officiate the ceremonies. Burial will be at the Masonic Cemetery in Piedmont.
