MALDEN, Mo. -- Glen Willis Harris, 83, of Malden died Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. Mr. Harris was born July 20, 1928, in Malden. His parents were the late Jesse Willis Harris and the late Alberta Williams Harris. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Malden where he served as a deacon for 52 years. MALDEN, Mo. -- Glen Willis Harris, 83, of Malden died Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Mr. Harris was born July 20, 1928, in Malden. His parents were the late Jesse Willis Harris and the late Alberta Williams Harris. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Malden where he served as a deacon for 52 years. He loved his church dearly.

He served in the U.S. Army from November 1950 to November 1952.

He was a route supervisor and manager for Pepsi-Cola for 39 years. After he retired from Pepsi, he worked for the BEC for six years.

He was married to Imogene "Jean" Brandon Aug. 7, 1951,in Piggott, Ark. She survives.

Other survivors are one son, Mitchell Lynn "Mitch" Harris of Malden; one grandson; one granddaughter; two great-grandsons; two sisters, LaVerne Stewart of Los Angeles, Calif. and Vernitta Cowell of Hardy, Ark.; and three brothers, Thomas "Blunt" Harris of Pine Island, N.Y., Carl Harris of Panama City, Fla., and Kenneth Harris of Malden.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden followed by the funeral at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
