Experts are wrong

To the Editor:

Unfortunately, the experts are wrong, in the opinion of this reader ("Pros see stocks up in '12" by Bernard Condon, Daily American Republic, Page C1, January 4, 2012).

One would think they would be smarter. The facts that will exhibit their stupidity in 2012 is the partial default of the federal and state public debt that is just around the corner.

The good news is that a partial default will wake up the public enough to preempt a forward movement on a U. S. Constitutional Amendment to require a balanced federal budget. I have been for the amendment even before it was an issue.
