KANSAS CITY, MO. -- Billy Joe Ellsworth, 70, of Independence, Mo., formerly of Pleasant Hill, Mo. died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Mr. Ellsworth had Parkinson's disease.
Mr. Ellsworth was born Thursday, March 13, 1941, in Broseley, Mo.
Survivors include his widow, Sue Ellsworth of Kansas City, Mo.; four sisters, Shirley Walls of Broadus, Texas, Wanda Downs of Palm Desert, Calif., Brenda Monday and Sue Morse, both of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; a daughter, Debbie Thomas of Greenville, Texas; a son, David Ellsworth of Point, Texas; two stepdaughters, Teresa Barclay of Independence, Mo., and Becky Ruth of Blue Springs, Mo.; a stepson, Don Barclay of Holden, Mo.; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services in Kansas City will be conducted by Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill, Mo. A local graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Brown's Chapel Cemetery in Broseley.
