CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- Poplar Bluff's Nathan Woolard earned a spot in the Missouri Amateur with a par on the first playoff hole Wednesday at the SEMO District Qualifying Tournament.
Woolard tied for ninth with Buddy Allen of Pevely and Ryan Munios of St. Peters at 9-over-par 81 at Dalhousie Golf Club. Allen also earned a spot in the Amateur field with a par on the second playoff hole.
Dexter's Brian Whitson and Brady Dixon of Mounds, Illinois, earned medalist honors at 1-over 73.
The 110th Amateur will be held June 20-25 at St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Munos is the first alternate.
Poplar Bluff's Jerrod Murphy tied for 12th, missing the playoff by two shots at 83. Brad Thielemeir of Poplar Bluff shot 87 for 18th.
The tournament was the final of five around the state to qualify for the Amateur, which also features exempt players.
