SPRINGFIELD, Mo. --After falling 98 seconds short of ending their losing streak Tuesday, the Poplar Bluff soccer team finished the job with a 4-0 win at Parkview on Thursday.

Daniel Lozano scored twice while Nik Rowland and Ethan Tucker added goals for the Mules (4-12), who snapped a nine-game losing streak.

Justin Moses made 13 saves for his fourth shutout of the season.

"Played really well tonight. Great team effort all the way around," Mules coach Rusty Crafton said.

The Mules led 1-0 at halftime.

Parkview (5-13) was coming off a 2-0 win over West Plains two days earlier while Poplar Bluff gave up a three-goal lead over the final 25 1/2 minutes in a 4-3 loss to state-ranked Notre Dame.

Rowland scored for the first time since a hat trick against Murphysboro (Ill.) in the fourth game while Tucker scored his first career varsity goal.

The Mules travel Tuesday to Saxony Lutheran before hosting their final three games.

Poplar Bluff won the junior varsity game 2-1 as Austin Tinsley scored twice.
