CLARKTON -- The Reindeer rallied from six points down entering the fourth quarter after Layne Morgan sank three 3-pointers and had 11 points in the final eight minutes as Clarkton beat Naylor 66-63.
Lee Matney added 10 points in the fourth quarter for Clarkton and the duo led the Reindeer with 19 and 18 points, respectively. Izaya Gorman added 13 points after going 4 for 6 on free throws.
Zeke Ward led Naylor with 27 points and Caleb Urich added 12.
"I credit Coach Bidewell and his kids. They played a terrific game. When they're leading score got into foul trouble, other kids stepped up and played well," Naylor coach Jim Carrier said. "Zeke picked up the slack for a number of guys last night. I thought his defensive effort was terrific, besides his tenacity scoring. I thought Evan, Seth, and Jake all had good showings also."
Doniphan 83, Couch 52
The man in the middle for the Dons was a one man wrecking crew with 24 points in the first half. Trent Lippoldt, a 6-foot, 6-inch junior, led Doniphan with 28 points. He had more than half the team's points in the first half.
Team leading scorer Klay Barton added 22 points after making four 3-pointers and getting 11 points in each half. Tied at 20 after the first quarter, Doniphan outscored Couch by at least seven points in each of the next three quarters.
Van Buren 85,
Summersville 27
The Bulldogs outscored Summersville by 20 points in the first quarter and then 30 points in the second quarter before slowing down a little bit in the second half. Nine players scored for Van Buren. Hayden Towner led the team with 20 points. Jacob Brown and Kory Ricker each had 13 and Keetien Perkins added 11.

The Lady Dawgs outscored Summersville by at least eight points in each of the first three quarters before scoring just one point in the fourth. Jalynn Morgan led Van Buren with 21 points. She had 10 of the team's 21 points in thesecond quarter and eight of Van Buren's 14 points in the third. Morgan Shockley added 12 points and Loni Black got 11.
Twin Rivers 58,
Campbell 23
The Royals held Campbell to five points in each of the first three quarters to build a 36-point lead.
Katelyn South led Twin Rivers with 16 points. She had 12 points in the first half, outscoring the entire Campbell roster in those two quarters. Katie Baxter added 12 points and Catey Hester had 10. Emily Peters and Claire Parker each had five points to lead Campbell.
WRESTLING
The Dexter Bearcats won two of three matches Thursday at a three-team match at Park Hills Central.
The Bearcats beat Park Hills Central 57-18 and Sullivan 46-30. St. Clair beat them 43-30.
Bryston Pemberton went 3-0 in the 106-pound class, winning all three bouts by fall. Seth Harris (113) pinned both of his opponents. Jett Featherston (182) recorded two wins in contested bouts, one by fall and one in an overtime tiebreaker. Travis Waldner (126) won his only match.
