ELLSINORE, Mo. -- Madison Dollins hit a double and scored as the Neelyville softball team made the most of four hits to edge East Carter 2-0 Thursday.

Payton Reinbott went the distance in the circle to earn the win for Neelyville (5-12). She recorded five strikeouts and walked three batters in earning a shutout.

Makenna Moore was the losing pitcher and also tripled to produce the lone hit for East Carter (8-8). She allowed one earned run, struck out three and walked two.

The Redbirds travel to Dora today while Neelyville is back on the road Monday at Cape Central.

Naylor 19, Saxony 11

Maddy Cagle doubled and batted in five runs as the Eagles made the most out of 11 hits to down the Crusaders on the road in the slugfest.

Alyssa Urich went the distance in the circle to get the win for Naylor (8-11). She gave up five earned runs and recorded four strikeouts and two walks.

Eliza Wadley pitched for one inning to be marked with the loss for Saxony Lutheran (6-15). She allowed eight earned runs on four hits, walked five batters and had no strikeouts.

Whitney Unterreiner and Zoie Roth added two RBIs apiece for the Crusaders.

Van Buren 16, East Prairie 6

Courtney Tripp hit a double and batted in three runs to pace the Lady Dawgs at the plate. Morgan Shockley also had three RBIs and Makenna Chilton added a double and two RBIs.

Jalynn Morgan pitched five innings to earn the win for Van Buren (14-4-1). She allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits, struck out two and walked one.

BASEBALL

Eminence 11, Greenville 4

Tied at four after one inning, the Bears let up seven unanswered runs in a home loss to the Redwings.

Jack Becker, Noah Surratt, Warren Willard and Zach Garrett had the only hits for Greenville (1-8) while Alex Hicks and Surratt each drove in a run.

Becker took the loss allowing seven earned runs on 11 hits in 5 1/3 innings. He struck out four and walked two.

Bernie 14, Bloomfield 3

Wyatt Barnett had a home run, seven total bases and five RBIs to lead the Mules in their regular season finale. He finished 4 for 5 at the plate with three runs. The bottom four in the Bernie (16-2) lineup each finished with two runs.

Dalton Hobgood pitched the first two innings and got the win. He gave up two hits and a walk with three strikeouts. Dalton Phillips was 2 for 3 with two runs for Bloomfield (8-10).
