The Three Rivers College men's basketball team falls to the St. Louis Archers 62-60 in overtime. Raiders will face Jefferson next at the Libla Family Sports Complex.

ST. LOUIS — Less than a week ago, the Three Rivers College men's basketball team was riding high after a three-game winning streak against Region XVI opponents.

Since then, the Raiders have came back to earth, dropping back-to-back contests, including a 62-60 overtime loss to the St. Louis Archers, a NJCAA Division II school on the Forest Park campus of St. Louis Community College.

Three Rivers (15-10) held a 27-26 lead at the intermission, but the Archers came back to tie the score at 55 to end regulation and force overtime. St. Louis outscored the Raiders 7-5 in the extra session to pull off the upset.

Matt Hampton and Meechie White scored 22 points apiece and each blocked two shots to lead Three Rivers. Hampton also had six rebounds, while White had three steals and Ali Oralkan added a pair.

The Raiders will be back in action Saturday afternoon when they host Jefferson. Tipoff time is set for 3 p.m. at the Libla Family Sports Complex.
