Three Rivers was swept by MCC-Maple Woods on Saturday, losing the opener 8-6 and the nightcap 15-3.

But perhaps worst, they lost yet more players to injury and will play Sunday's doubleheader against Maple Woods with seven position players, forcing a pair of pitchers into the batting order.

Three Rivers led 3-0 early in the opener and clung to a one run lead heading into the sixth inning, but then game up four runs.

Down by two in the top of the seventh, the Raiders loaded the bases with one out, but popped up to first and struck out to end the game.

Blaze Speas went 3 for 3 with a double for the Raiders. Garyn Stewart and Ryan Hunter also had two hits each and Hunter scored twice.

Tyler McLevain pitched a complete game in the loss and allowed 10 hits and a walk with four strikeouts.

Maple Woods put up eight runs in the third inning of the nightcap, which was run-ruled after five.

The Raiders (13-25, 7-19 Region XVI) had four hits in the nightcap. Dylan Cater singled and scored to leadoff the first inning. Grant Miller and Stewart added runs in the fourth after a walk and a hit by pitch. Hunter singled both in.

Fernando Burgos pitched 2 1/3 innings in the loss and allowed eight hits and four walks with three strikeouts.
