CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- Poplar Bluff dominated the freestyle events Thursday during the Rec Relays at Southeast Missouri State University but Cape Central won as five events and placed second in four others to beat the Mules 166-139 for the meet title.

Poplar Bluff swept the four freestyle relays and finished second to the Tigers in three events while Paige Bradley placed second in the dive, the only individual event.

Audrey Cisne, Megan Adams, Calli Barker and Jessica Rush opened the meet by beating Central to the wall by 1.1 seconds in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

Raegan McAtee, Carly Wiseman and Taylor Norwood won the 900-freestyle relay that featured a pair of 200 legs and a 500.

The trio finished in 10 minutes, 6.15 seconds, beating the Tigers by nearly 12 seconds.

Kenzie Garrett, Wiseman, Barker and Rush won the 400-freestyle relay in 4:31.65, beating the Tigers by 1.98 seconds. Poplar Bluff's Electra Destree, Simone Anders, Haven Phelps and Bethany Leighty had the third-fastest time at 4:58.27.

Garret, Barker, Wiseman and Adams won't he 100-freestyle relay in 57.89, beating Farmington by 1.9 seconds.

Central edged Poplar Bluff by 0.7 of a second in the 300-butterfly relay as McAtee, Adams and Norwood finished in 3:30.17.

The Mules finished 7.52 seconds behind Central in the 400-medley relay as Cisne, Norwood, McAtee and Bradley finished in 4:33.66.

Cisne, Garrett and Rush were second in the 300-backstroke relay for the Mules, following Central but beating Notre Dame to the wall by 3.96 seconds.

The Tigers won the 600-medley relay as Poplar Bluff's Anders, Austynn Dover and Emryn Smith followed Jackson, which scored 124 points for third place.

Bradley, Phelps and Anders were third in the 300-breaststroke relay as the Tigers broke a meet record to win.
