STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo. -- The Dexter girls won seven events to finish third Wednesday at the Ste. Genevieve Old Settlement track and field meet.
Hannah Moore won three events -- the 200 meters in 27.26 seconds, the 400 (1:1.82) and the long jump (15-feet, 8-inches).
Rhylan Hillis won the triple jump (31 8 1/2), Emily Ladd won the 3200 (12:49.1) and Madeline Webb won the shot (35-1).
The Bearcats' 400-relay team won in 53.59 seconds.
Seth Rogers and Brock Simmons earned the boys' top finishes. Rogers was second in the 100 in 11.9 seconds. Simmons was second in the shot (39-3).
Five other boys and two boys relay teams earned top-eight finishes as the Bearcats ended up seventh in the team standings.
Trevor McDonald was third in the long jump (18-6) and eighth in the 200 (25.12). Austin Guy was third in the high jump (5-8).
Dawson Kasting was fourth in the triple jump (37-6), sixth in the high jump (5-4) and sixth in the long jump (17-6 1/2). The 3200 relay was fourth (9:17.9).
Lucas Goodrich was fifth in the 3200 (11:11.36). The 400 relay placed fifth in 48 seconds.
Nate Drivas was eighth in the triple jump (35-1 1/2).
Besides the event winners, four girls and three relay teams earned top-eight finishes.
Margo Nea was second in the 1600 (5:56.59), and Webb was second in the discus (90-11). The 3200 relay was second in 10:45.56.
Blair Rogers was fourth in the 100 (14.11). Amber Cage was fourth in the 200 (29.76) and was seventh in the 100 (14.41).
The 800 relay was fourth in 2:01.79, and the 1600 relay was seventh in 5:06.46.
Notre Dame won the girls team title with 129 points followed by the host Dragons at 115.5 and Dexter's 113 points.
Ste. Genevieve won the boys title, 27.5 points ahead of Potosi. Dexter finished with 54.5 points in the 14-team meet.
