Malden running back Tray Stevenson got 13.5 percent of his season rushing yards against East Prairie back on Sept. 15.
That added up to 289 yards and four touchdown on 25 carries as Malden turned a first-quarter, two-point deficit into a 50-14 blowout.
The two teams will meet up again in the MSHSSA Class 2 District 1 semifinals Friday in Malden. The winner will face either top seed Caruthersville or Charleston in the championship.
Caruthersville took the top seed on a tie-breaker after ending Malden's three year regular season unbeaten streak in week two.
At the time, the win put Stevenson over 1,000 yards. In the quarterfinals last week, Stevenson broke the Malden single season rushing record and now has 2,148 yards and 32 touchdowns on 221 carries (9.7 avg.).
Quarterback Mason Brown and Malcolm McBride are both averaging 7.2 yards per carry.
Brown is Malden's second leading rush at 756 yards and eight touchdown. He has also thrown for 8-2 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Malden (9-1) ran for 494 yards against East Prairie (5-5) the first time around with Brown getting 133 yards on 12 carries. Broddric Annesser, the team's leading receiver with 31 catches for 617 yards, also had 53 yards and a score.
The Green Wave gained 595 yards to East Prairie's 250, and had 10 more first downs.
