DONIPHAN -- The Doniphan boys basketball team moved into a three-way tie atop the Ozark Foothills Conference standings with a 79-52 win over Naylor on Wednesday night.
The Dons, Neelyville and Twin Rivers all sit at 3-1 in conference play with the Tigers set to play at Doniphan on Tuesday.
Klay Barton, held scoreless by a box-and-one defense in the first half, scored all of his team-high 18 points in the second half to lead Doniphan (7-11).
Trent Lippoldt added 13 points while Jake Eddington and Trey Jackson each scored 12. Jackson sank four of Doniphan's 10 3-pointers while Barton knocked down three.
Derek Ferguson and Jackson came off the bench to combine for 12 points in the second quarter to help Doniphan build a double-digit lead. The Dons entered the second leading by three but took a 31-16 advantage into the half.
Naylor never was closer than 12 points the rest of the way.
Jordan Cook led Naylor (5-9, 1-2) with 20 points while Zeke Ward added 16.
Twin Rivers travels Friday to East Carter and Monday to Naylor to close out its conference schedule.
