Spencer Burnham went the distance on the mound and the Van Buren Bulldogs rallied late to beat Malden 3-2 for their seventh consecutive win Tuesday at Roger Pattillo Field. Spencer Burnham went the distance on the mound and the Van Buren Bulldogs rallied late to beat Malden 3-2 for their seventh consecutive win Tuesday at Roger Pattillo Field.

Trailing 2-0, Van Buren (14-2) loaded the bases with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Steve Simmons was hit by a pitch to score Trey Nicholson before Connor Jackson belted a line-drive single up the middle to give the Bulldogs the lead for good.

Burnham gave up one earned run and recorded seven strikeouts and walked two batters to get the win on the mound.

Ben French also pitched a complete-game for Malden (11-14). He allowed three unearned runs, struck out two and walked three. Case McCormick hit a double and had an RBI as the Green Wave fell one run short in their regular-season ending loss.

Greenville 14, Naylor 0

Trey McDaniel hit a home run and tossed a no-hitter as the Bears blanked the Eagles on Senior Night. Jack Becker also launched a home run and went 2 for 3 with three RBIs for Greenville (7-4).

With the win, Greenville seniors McDaniel, Will VanMatre, Jace Osborn and Wyatt Barks became the winningest class in Greenville baseball history going 130-34 in four seasons.

Sikeston 10, East Carter 5

The Redbirds had their nine-game winning streak snapped in a road loss.

Alex Kearbey hit a double for East Carter (14-4) and Dalton Rudd went 2 for 4 in the loss.

Cody Hampton took the loss allowing eight runs (six earned) on three hits and five walks while striking out three on 78 pitches.

Campbell 7, Dexter 6

The Camels gave up six runs, and the lead, in the top of the sixth inning only to rally in the bottom and hold on for the win.

Tommy Steward finished 2 for 4 with two runs and an RBI for Campbell (6-5), which got runs from six different spots in the lineup.

Jason Jarrell, Spencer Owens and Clay Mullins all hit home runs for Dexter (9-12).
