Sherman and Virginia Thomas to celebrate 60th wedding anniversary
Sherman and Virginia Thomas, of Broseley, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary in October. The couple were married on Oct. 24, 1959 at the Elk General Baptist Church in Broseley. The Thomases have two children, Vickie Niva and Cynthia Smith; six grandchildren, Julian Pearson III, Nautosha Pearson Bellers, Heather Pearson Bruton, Dustin Pearson, Lakesha Cook and Derrick Cook and eight great-grandchildren, Evie Pearson, Noah Pearson, Elsie Pearson, Leighton Bellers, Reed Bellers, Harper Bruton, Hope Cook and Matthew Cook.. ...

Friends and family are invited to attend a vow renewal ceremony planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 at Heartland Christian Family Church at 3025 S. Westwood in Poplar Bluff. A reception will immediately follow at the church.
