Sally Owens Sally Jane (Toombs) Owens of Independence, Missouri passed away Nov. 11, 2021 in her home surrounded by family. Sally was born on Sept. 23, 1965 to Olen and Mary (Alexander) Toombs of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Sally attended Poplar Bluff High School where she met Andrew Owens. They married on Jan. 6, 1984. He survives. Sally was a devoted mother and homemaker. Her hobbies included sewing, crafting, and cooking. Some say her laughter lit up the room...

Sally Jane (Toombs) Owens of Independence, Missouri passed away Nov. 11, 2021 in her home surrounded by family.

Sally was born on Sept. 23, 1965 to Olen and Mary (Alexander) Toombs of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Sally attended Poplar Bluff High School where she met Andrew Owens. They married on Jan. 6, 1984. He survives. Sally was a devoted mother and homemaker. Her hobbies included sewing, crafting, and cooking. Some say her laughter lit up the room.

She and Andrew have five surviving children; Thomas, Christopher, Samantha, Mary and Truman, eight grandchildren, a great-grandchild.

The youngest of nine siblings; surviving are Carla (Earve) Aldridge, Barbara (Bob) Davis, Norma Easter, Timothy (Kim) Toombs, Rosemary (Kevin) Wallace, George Toombs, and Teresa Toombs. Wayne Toombs is deceased.

Surviving nieces and a nephew that grew up with Sally and seemed more like siblings are Carmen Aldridge Bernard, William Davis, Amanda Hill and lifelong friend Mary Beth Sheppard of Poplar Bluff.

She left a finger print on ever heart she touched.
