Since President Donald J. Trump returned to office in 2025, he has continued to fulfill his “Promises Made, Promises Kept” agenda, focusing on economic growth, national security and individual freedoms. His leadership ensures that Missourians and all Americans benefit from strong conservative policies. As a representative of Southeast Missouri, I have seen firsthand the positive impact of his administration and remain committed to advancing legislation that aligns with his vision.

One of President Trump’s first actions was signing an Executive Order prohibiting gender transition procedures for individuals under 18, ensuring that no minor in America is subjected to life-altering medical interventions pushed by activists and profit-driven clinics. Missouri has long stood for protecting children from irreversible procedures, which is why I sponsored House Bills 35 and 36 to remove sunset clauses from existing protections and prevent taxpayer funding of these procedures. Trump’s leadership reinforces the necessity of these measures, and I proudly stand with him in defending our children’s future.

A key focus of Trump’s administration has been strengthening the economy by cutting taxes and eliminating excessive regulations. Missouri families and small businesses are benefiting from tax relief, and HB 349, sponsored by Rep. Reuter, aligns with these efforts by reducing state income taxes. Additionally, Trump’s push to bring manufacturing jobs back to the U.S. has created more opportunities for Missouri workers.

Missouri’s agricultural sector remains a priority, with Trump’s renegotiation of trade agreements like the USMCA expanding market access for farmers while ensuring fairer trade practices. Deregulation has allowed local producers to thrive without unnecessary federal interference. Sen. Gregory’s SB 466 supports this agenda by establishing multiple tax credits for agricultural purposes, helping farmers and agribusinesses succeed.

On border security, President Trump has taken decisive action to strengthen immigration policies and complete the border wall, protecting American jobs and keeping our communities safe. Missouri lawmakers are supporting these efforts through legislation such as SB 58, sponsored by Sen. Carter, which authorizes the governor to collaborate with other states on an interstate compact for border security and criminalizes improper entry by illegal immigrants.

Trump remains steadfast in defending constitutional rights, including the Second Amendment. Missouri is following suit with legislation like the Second Amendment Protection Act, introduced by Sen. Fitzwater, which prohibits state enforcement of federal gun regulations, ensuring law-abiding citizens’ right to bear arms is protected.

Health care reform is another priority, with the Trump administration working to lower prescription drug prices and increase transparency. Missouri legislators are advancing bills to expand rural health care access and remove bureaucratic barriers that delay treatment for residents in underserved areas.

Missouri is also leading in the fight for life, aligning with the administration’s firm stance on protecting the unborn. Recent state legislation strengthens restrictions on abortion, ensuring Missouri remains a leader in defending life. Rep. Seitz’s HB 195, the “Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act,” reinforces these efforts, safeguarding infants who survive abortion procedures.

As we move forward, I remain committed to working alongside President Trump’s administration to build on the progress we’ve made. His leadership continues to inspire confidence, create opportunities, and safeguard the values that make America strong.

Promises made, promises kept — this is the foundation of President Trump’s second term, and here in the Show-Me State, we proudly support his vision for our nation’s future.
