To the Editor,

Councilman Crocker who supported the City Hall relocation to Barron Road now says the city should get its cash reserves in order before considering a new location.

The city cash reserves have been dwindling since this conversation began almost two years ago. What changed Mr. Crocker?? I'll tell you what changed. Councilman Black thoroughly veted the inspection reports and determined the purchase was not in the best interest of the city.

Kudos to councilman Black for being willing to change his position once all the facts were in.

And by the way Councilman Crocker, I have never been opposed to exploring all possible sites in our community for a new city hall. What I am opposed to is some members of the current city council, like you, who want to continue the same poor spending practices that we faced during the Kaplan administration.

If city leadership is not careful we will be a bankrupt community very soon. I encourage voters in the upcoming election to choose someone who will responsibly make good fiscal decisions.
