Wilma E. Burwell

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. — Wilma E. Burwell, 89, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Oakdale Care Center. She was born Feb. 16, 1930 in Poplar Bluff to the late Eldon Palmer and Stella Flannigan Palmer. Wilma was a lifetime resident of Poplar Bluff and was a member of the First Christian Church. She was a retired registered nurse and enjoyed watching television.

Wilma is survived by three sons, John MacDonald (Debra), Bob MacDonald (Camille), and Brian MacDonald (Sheri) all of Poplar Bluff; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. MacDonald; two brothers, Eldon Palmer Jr. and Harold Palmer; two sisters, Wanda Clover and Lavern Ristig.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 29 at City Cemetery. Rev. Frank Chlastak will officiate. Service is being arranged by Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home.
